How disappointed were you with Ireland? I didn't think they would make it out of the group but I expected pace, hunger, passion, I was defending them before the Spain and Croatia to other Europeans fans who said they were the weakest team at the Euros, saying they will make a fight of it, they will chase, harass the .but no..it was like watching a training match. Spain are the worlds best but the attitude of the players wasn't great.

I'm not a big Darren Gibson fan but I was certain he would be a starter for the Irish. At least he can hit one of his 10 shots on goal per game on target.

Not impressed with McGeady in the Euros, Keane huffs and puffs and is past his best as is Dunne, Given I think is playing with an injury. Ward is shit, O'Shea is okay, gets the job done but offers nothing. McClean needs to start, when you have a talent like him, just get him on the pitch. I think he would relish the chance and not be afraid to take players on.

This happens all the time though. I'm not surprised when penalties aren't given for it any more, Blame Rakitic for missing that header.

I'm waiting for a time when refs blow up for penalties every time a tussle happens, then maybe this will stop. Though we're already entering a non contact sport anyway.
