Euro 2012 Qualification

I missed the replay, I was working at the same time. That's why I'm asking about it.

Edit: Just saw the replay. Wasn't offside. Spahic was offside before the pass was made, he was back on the defensive line once it was made.
 
In other international news... Lebanon beat South Korea. They're place in the 130s. They'll probably be moving to the next round (first time ever?)
 
^ I think so. South Korea could go out if they lose their last game. Iraq are through to the next round.
 
We didn't deserve to win, but we didn't deserve to lose 6-2 neither.

At 4-2 it was over, our players couldn't run anymore.

I'm fucking pissed that in the two playoffs that we were in, we fucking picked Portugal each time, that is the strongest team in the pot.

I can only imagine what would have happened if we picked the Czechs. As Republic of Ireland was definitely going to play against Estonia...
 
I always find it funny when the GK gets super mad every time an opposing player falls in the penalty box. It's like always the GK who gets up in the dude's face. It's so funny.

Are you saying UEFA set the Estonia v Ireland game up to make up for the Henry incident :eek:

Should seedings be abolished for playoffs? 9 out of 11 seeds have gone through to the WC and Euros. Kinda makes the playoffs pointless ya meaaaan.
 
Will the Euro's be hard still in 2016? When 24 teams enter, 6 groups, top 3 in each group bar two go through.

The way that the seeds are done is not right...

They should just do it american playoff style....

Put the teams in order of standings, and play 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6 and 4 vs 5...

Will be more interesting... Then again, you'll have teams like Slovakia, Ukraine, Russia, Czech Republic, Norway, Sweden, Montenegro and Bosnia-H. participate.... It's still better than fucking Togo or New Zealand...
 
The quality might lower, but not by much, then again - it sets up opportunities for teams to prove themselves against 'football giants' ... opportunities for upsets, surprise butt-seck, etc

out of curiosity, are you annoyed because Bosnia werent seeded?

and i agree. Ireland got Estonia after what happened in Paris. im convinced of that. football is as bent as fuck nowadays. but there wasnt anything wrong with Ireland being seeded.

also Ireland were actually the 3rd team of the 4 seeded teams. Czech republic just got in ahead of Turkey for the 4th spot.

When I said Turkey should have been seeded and you took offense because I said Ireland shouldn't have been its because of this ridiculous seeding system. So Turkey get 20% ranking points earned for the Euro 2008 tournament, they finished Semi finals..that should count for more than just 20%. Turkey had one of the hardest groups to qualify out of but still don't get enough to be seeded? Its dodgy as fuck. UEFA are fucktards anyway, it took a Romanian accountant to calculate that Romania shouldn't be seeded last for the WC2014 qualifiers.

The whole playoff system is a joke. Croatia, Portugal, Turkey should have been the seeds, then its out of Ireland and Czech Rep, Czech rep only had 5 teams in their group for fucks sake, how is that fair?

Well that was 4 years ago... It's been a while for it to matter that much.

But yeah, like I said, there should be no seeds at all...
 
Group A: Poland, Greece, Russia, Czech Republic
Group B: Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Portugal
Group C: Spain, Italy, Republic of Ireland, Croatia
Group D: Ukraine, Sweden, France, England

bold being the ones I think will go through. Though its difficult. I'll probably change my mind another time. I don't think Italy are that good. ROI or Croatia can go through, ROI will be hard to beat so will probably nick a win against Italy.

Ukraine beat us at their place before so it will be difficult, France beat us recently also. Group B. Portugal will finish last.

Group A is faggotfest.
