Erick and Parrish will be back together making dollars this fall for a special EPMD performance in conjunction with VH1’s annual Hip Hop Honors awards show.

Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith, the duo from Brentwood, Long Island who formed EPMD in 1987, will perform together for the first time in eight years on Oct. 14 at BB King Blues Club in Times Square.

The duo severed ties in January of 1993, after Smith’s house was burglarized by armed robbers, one of whom fingered Sermon as having allegedly paid them to do it. Sermon, a.k.a. the Green-Eyed Bandit, was arrested and briefly detained, but never charged with a crime. By the time of EPMD’s breakup, Sermon alleged financial impropriety on Smith’s part.

During their heyday, EPMD dropped such classic singles as "It's My Thing," "You Gots To Chill," "So Wat Cha Sayin'," "The Big Payback," "Golddigger," "Rampage" and "Crossover." They are expected to perform those hits during the reunion show.
