Engine Belt Replacement

How much will it cost me to get my engine belt replaced? I don't know if you need engine specs, but it's a 4.7L V8. Also, is it cheaper to do myself?

do it yourself if you know what youre doing. have a torque wrench handy and all the right tools. if not give it to a mechanic. because if something gets out of alignment, the valves slap against the pistons (if its an interference engine). im not sure on the prices, but it would be cheaper for you to do it.

When it comes to work like that i let mechancis do it, not only will they put it on straight most of em will time it and shit. They do the little things that most people skip if you go to a good mechanic.

are you talking about the serpentine belt? if so then thats pretty fuckin easy... if u cant do it im sure your neighbor can, no sense in paying a mechanic to do it when the part is like 20 bucks...

unless ur talking about the timing belt...
