I know this is real early to talk about but the idea caught my attention:

"El Padrino will be "a story of a man who moves from Santo Domingo to New York to try to make American dream real". According to Vin Diesel it will have similarities with films like Al Pacino's Scarface."

I obviously love Scarface and I do like Vin Diesel, I think hes actually a good actor (A Man Apart was real good if you ask me), I think he needs better roles, Find Me Guilty about the real-life trial of New Jersey's Lucchesi crime family looks to be a good acting role for him too.

So I have a good feeling about this movie, even though its years away.

he was great in a man apart.. idk if this movie will be good or not... it seems like the cinemas always cash in off that gangster-drug dealer image, we'll see if its the case with this film.

sounds like a bust.

in my opinion he doesn't act too well. he only hinted being somewhat good in "Pitch black" and "A man apart"

He acted the same in Pitch Black and Riddick. Boiler Room was also a good performance, Knock Around Guys was alright,

Strays, which he starred in, wrote, produced and directed was also very good.

"A self-described “multicultural Saturday Night Fever,” Strays is a nineties and quintessentially New York version of a macho cruiser’s coming-of-age. With abundant charm and formidable wit, Strays marks the arrival of a truly gifted writer/director/actor, Vin Diesel, Frustrated by the repetitious grind of one night stands and aimless hustlings, study drug dealer Rick (played by Diesel) is looking for meaning and intimacy in his life. Like his testosterone-tweaked buddies, Rick is a “stray” – lacking a traditional family structure and wrestling subconsciously with the psychological bruises inflicted by his father’s absence. Shielding any vulnerability under the toughened cloak of detachment, Rich has administered his life with deliberate effort to avoid reliance on anyone or anything. But things are about to change.
