another interesting thing i tried to figure out today was in loxs song dissin puff .. on we are the streets .. the last track .... styles says (dissin puff) " i wish duke was still alive and they killed your ass" .. i think here styles is referring to pac as "duke" like big did ... however on the biggie thing .. i doubt thats to pac .. dante is right tho ... and yall might say im dickriding becuz im mentioning dante ...its ok becuz i dont even know that cat but i gotta come to dudes defense becuz he is right .. in life after death alot of disses to pac were removed for the final album .. even in the final album tho...theres alot of subliminals to pac ... so i doubt it was pac he was mentionin

It seems to me that "duke" can be a reference to several different things such as dad/father, random guy, specifically 2Pac, etc.

Now, considering the context in which "duke" was used in this particular example, I would say that the most obvious meaning of "duke" here is dad.

I could be wrong, just my best guess. But don't you think we should go with the most obvious conclusion. Think about it, why would Biggie thank 2Pac? It really makes no sense.

By the way, that shit about Styles P saying "I wish duke was still alive so he could kill yo ass" is strange. I don't know what to make of that one.
