It was completely submerged. I put it in a bowl of rice overnight and it's as good as new. :nuts: What would I do without google?
 
the worst thing you can do if your phone gets wet is to try and turn it on. That'll fuck it up. The rice completely absorbs all the moisture (thats what rice does!) and when all the moisture is gone, you can turn it back on without it short circuiting.

putting it on top of a radiator works well too

alternatively also, if you accidentally put your phone in the washing machine continue the process and put it in the tumble dryer afterwards

water doesnt seem to damage mobile phones much as they don't short circuit, just don't work while wet, as long as you dry it out well before the components start rusting
