Jimmy James Johnson, the man accused of assaulting legendary producer Dr. Dre at last year's Vibe Awards, has allegedly confessed that Death Row CEO Marion "Suge" Knight paid him to do it.
Johnson allegedly told Santa Monica Police that Knight paid Johnson $5,000 and forgave his brothers previous debt in exchange for Johnson punching Dre as the producer waited to receive his Lifetime Achievement Award.
Johnson was then attacked by members of Dr. Dre's entourage and was allegedly stabbed by Young Buck of G Unit.
Suge Knight and Dr. Dre have a feud stemming from Dre's departure of Death Row Records in 1996. However Knight was quick to dismiss any rumors quickly after the incident saying "If I do something wrong, I claim it, I'm not no snitch, I'm not no rat, I'm not the kind of guy who just wants to start stuff." Knight's lawyer has now also officially denied the allegation and has released a statement saying, "there is absolutely no truth to it. I am so confident that there is no issue."
