Don't Tase Me Bro Kid Speaks Out

Alright, so I kinda missed this thing, but at first glance, did that kid get tased because he asked a politician tough questions? Or am I missing something?

If I'm not missing anything, then...just wow. Land of the free, huh.
 
I just saw the vid.

Main points:

1.) Kid is a persistant asshole.

2.) Completely over the top reaction by security bitches that have some inferiority complex and felt the need to assert their authority with unnecessary force.


Solution?

Sue them!


Really, though. That was fucked up. It seems minor, but this is how misuse of authority starts.

Land of the free. As long as you do what they tell you.

But consistently tasing a person who's on the ground with 4 cops on him?

That's just beyond pathetic and cowardly.

He wouldn't shut the hell up. I'm not saying he should have been escorted out but if the cops are trying to get you out it's in your best interest to just go and not make a scene. Then he resists which would call for them to use force. It was either wrestle with him for 20 minutes or tase him.

He was acting crazy...for all they know he could be a looney and go shoot up the school...if they would have let him just walk out he could have hurt someone else and then we would be blaming the cops.

if you have seen the video then you know that the he did not leave when he was asked by security. when he refused to leave security have every right to escort him out. when he started to struggle and fight with them then security had every right remove him by force. he wasn't even under arrest until he started to fight with security.

the event was being thrown by the school and the kid was a guest. if they want to cut his mic off or tell security to take him out of the building they can do so.

people are trying to act like this is some free speech issue. it is not. it has nothing to do with that at all. it is about an ass who got out line who was acting in a behavior that alarmed campus officals and security. after all kerry was a guest to the campus had they hold some responsibility to keep him safe.

if kerry really wanted to answer his questions then he would have stayed around long enough to answer questions from everyone who had been waiting in line for hours.

honestly, i think this guy is full of shit and is trying to look good on the media to help him look good. and this quote from him pretty much says he was seeking attention

And they wanted the kid gone because of what? Because he didn't ask the questions people wanted to hear? Because he didn't immediately lick the heels of those cops?

I'm not as much trying to defend the dude. He was annoying, yes. But even my senile grandmother can see that this type of reaction is just way out of line. It's not like someone who plans to shoot up a debate session first comes with a whole list of detailed issues and questions.

I don't know what the law is regarding the use of a taser. If I were a police officer and he was acting like that I would have maced him just for good measure.

Are you supposed to wrestle around for 5 minutes, 10, 30...until he decides to surrender his wrists to the damn handcuffs?

He planned to do this...to cause a scene. He asked him if he was in the same skull and bones secret society as Bush. No1 wants to hear about your stupid conspiracy theory.

Lucky I'm not a police officer...I would be bad.

Kerry invited him to ask questions and he answered them. Read the transcript, the guy kept going on and on about conspiracy theories and shit and taking time away from other people who wanted to ask questions. He resisted arrest so they tazed him, life lesson learned, don't resist when 4 police officers are on you.

If I were a police officer and he was acting like that I would have maced him just for good measure.

first, he pushed his way to the mic because he was mad that he didn't get to ask his question after waiting in line for 2 hours. he wasn't the only person who had to wait in line and didn't get to ask sen. kerry a question. as i said he was a guest and by being a guest he needs to abide by the rules the school and the people sponsering the q&a with kerry set forth for the audience. he did not. that alone is grounds to be removed.

second, when he started to act in a manner that is cause for concern over the safety for not only the people at the event but also for a public figure, like kerry, that is grounds to be removed from the event.

third, he was asked to leave more than once. after he refused the 3rd or 4th time the police can use force to escort him out. he wouldn't even have been under arrest just escorted off the grounds. when he started to fight with the police that is when grounds for charges started.

this is all clear in the video.

if you are asked to leave an event you are a guest at and you don't do so then the people holding the event ask the police or security to escort you away they have that right to do so. he wasn't asked to be removed because of what he was saying. it was his manner in which he was behaving. it was cause for concern for the audience and sen. kerry. no public uni wants news coverage and negative publicity on them because they couldn't provide security and safety for public official, especially one who ran for president just a few years ago.

as i said, the quote he suposedly said to the officers pretty much says it all.
 
God dammit, how hard is reading for you? I'm not disputing THAT he was taken away, i'm disputing the way it was done. The tasing was absolutely unnecessary. Sure the kid was being an obnoxious asshole, but that doesn't mean he's fair game. He wasn't being a "security risk", man, sod off. He was a little asshole. Big fucking difference.

i think there is a difference in being a security risk and being a potential threat.

i do not argue that the tasering might have been a bit much. i do have to wonder "does it really take that many officers to take down one person". but sometimes it does. does it in this case? i can't really say. but tasering is an effective and non-lethal way of putting and end to a situation quickly before it gets even more out of hand and possibly dangerous. it is easy to judge the actions of the police but it is much harder to walk in their shoes day in and out.
 
The TASER is a humane and quick way to dispense with an aggressive suspect, which he most definitely was. The alternative was to beat him silly with their batons in front of the crowd and cameras, and maybe broken his arm or injured his head or internal organs.

And then he could have said, "Don't break my arm and give me a concussion, bro."

C'mon, man, the kid was down and out. He had 4 cops on him, 2 of which were fucking fat as well. And THEN he got tasered. That's just a bitch move.


And Puffy, that's all I'm saying, man. Was it really necessary for that many police officers to take down 1 slightly overzealous politically engaged twenty year old?
I mean, damn, as if that couldn't have been handled with a bit more tact and subtlety.
 
No matter what the situation is, there will be criticism of how the police handle the situation. The guy resisted throughout the whole ordeal, if you have 4 police officers on you you don't resist because they will do something that will stop you from resisting, whether it be a tazer or a few baton strikes, either way people will be screaming foul over the whole situation
