Also, they actually got the scale wrong on more than one of those stars (like Betelgeuze is way off I think), but the thought still counts.

isn't Pollux one of the stars that make up the sign of the Gemini constellation, the other is Castor but i don't see it here

Our sun is supposed to grow? I always thought it would simply implode one day and become a black hole.

Its not nearly big enough. Our sun is only a medium sized star at best. Once it consumes all of its hydrogen it will start to expand, engulfing the first 3 planets (mercury, venus, earth), into a red giant. Eventually it will shrink and become a white dwarf. This won't happen for another 5 billion years tho

The star uses up all the hydrogen (it's fuel) in the core, but there is still hydrogen on the outer layer so it starts to burn that which causes expansion.

The famous picture "Pale Blue Dot" was taken by Voyager 1 which was launched in 1977. It has taken it 32 years to get to the edge of our solar system traveling 16km per second.

There is an almost 99.9% possibility of other life out there in the universe. Look at the Deep Field photo by the Hubble telescope and imagine all the other stars out there. There are as many planets in our universe than grains of sand on earth. An unthinkable number of planets out there and ours only supports life? Impossible.
