Technology Do you watch DVD with subtitles?

I do all the time and thik its a good idea so you never miss what's being said. Am I alone on this one?

Only on foreign movies, I always put subtitles on during video games though, dont know why.

sometimes i do, if say a character has a thick accent or otherwise hard to understand, or if the background noise of the movie distracts from the dialogue

i use subtitles for foreign movies, only domestic movie i watched with subtitles was Scarface, some of the shit Al Pacino says you cant even understand hehe

I hate subtitles so much. However, it may just be the way they do them. At the bottom of the screen away from the picture is really distracting. Who has seen Man On Fire? The subtitles in that were totally acceptable. They weren't a distration--they were on the screen in the action.

i hated those subtitles, they totally distracted u from the action. i hate movies wit subtitles. And for foriegn movies, id rather watch poor dubbing, jus cuz it makes it funny.

I used to feel the same way about hating subtitles, they'd be a distraction. But now the only workin DVD player i have is my computer and it automatically has sub titles on, even tho i turn them off on the DVD, and on the program i use, it still puts sub titles on, so im guessing theres an option in my comp i duno how to fuck wit (im computer illiterate) so now im used to them and they dont distract me, they even come in handy sometimes.
