I dont think you guys understand how waiters, hairstylists etc. work. They dont get paid normal wages, so its their job and there getting paid for it doesnt work. Take a waiter for example they get paid like 2.10 an hour because they get tips, that is how they make money and thats how it works, tips. Thats why restaurants have tip share, and they tax your tips even because you ahve to report them. Not tipping is not good.

Waiters/waitresses I can never not tip them. Most of them,even the ones at pizza hut, make like 2 bucks an hour, and that's if they are lucky.

I ussally drop like 30 - 40 %, depends on service ect. Never leave with out giving them a tip tho.

yes...10% for buffet-style joints, 15% for lunch, 20-25% for dinner

barbers i usually give 2-3 dollars for a 12 dollar haircut
taxi's like 3-5 extra bucks for a medium-long ride
baggage guys at the airport or hotel like 4-5 bucks a bag


i'm rich so i don't give a fuck about giving out money...they deserve it more that me in most cases

Yeah my friend is a waiter and does that too. But he like adds his bills and shit up so he reports enough just to get by you know, he thinks he is all cool but its not that much money so it doesnt matter, still good to do.

depends on the service but normally yeh i do, just round it up to the nearest five, So if the bill is 13 give 15 etc. I work in a restuarant and i know that tippings a good idea if you want good service, free drinks etc especially if you go that place reguarly. If you don't tip don't make a habit of going the same restuarant very often cos we (waiters etc) will regoconise you and not give a fuck how quickly youre food comes out etc, or do worse.....

Yes I tip because, one my mom is a hairstylist, two I used to work at a pizza place and I know that the drivers make shit for an hourly rate. Plus I've had friends that work in resturants and they also make shit for an hourly rate. But I do think that it also depends on the service. I don't just tip because you're supposed to, I tip when they deserve it.
