Do you phone people just to talk?

I hate talking on the phone too... Msn and msjs are a lot better and cheaper, besides, nothing can replace talkin in person.

But in asking this question, I don't think you get a very accurate picture of people in general (considering it's an internet forum), a majority of the people here appear to be very very introverted.

I pretty much only talk for a purpose, I cant be bothered with chit chat anymore. When I was like 14 yeah I used to talk on the phone to my friends for ages.... I guess I talked it all out of me because I just cant be arsed now. Plus I'm busier now than I used to be so I dont wanna waste time or money.

I dont like to call people, the only one I actually like to call is my best friend. Other than that, I get aggrivated coz I usually cant find anything to talk about.

Only call my mates when there's something up. And my mates only call me when there's something up.
I actually dislike phone calls. It's so distant, i only call when there's communication to be done. I view it as a necessary evil

The few people that I talk to on MSN will tell you that I never 'just talk'. But if you got something interesting to bring to the table then I will sit and talk.

i could call a girl i like to just talk, but never a guy. no way lol. that's breaking the code.

seriously, i never do it with guys. thats not just some male macho joke, i actually feel ackward talking to guys about random shit like that.

No usually I'll only call someone if theres a reason to. Not much of a phone conversation type of guy. I like to keep it old school and use a telegraph for all the intimate matter of conversation not suitable for the phone

I knew a girl who would call me every evening and stay on the line for hours with both of us saying nothing. I'd already seen her earlier in the day and said all I had to say. I'd be watching TV, and she'd be watching TV at her end. Maybe different shows. It seemed like she just needed some type of company all the time. She would fall asleep like this with the line open to me and her TV on. I think a lot of girls feel like that. Very social creatures.
