Shaving rash?

I get it on my bikini line which is really bloody annoying!! (esp now i am getting regular sex)

How do you do your bikini line? (shave, wax, cream etc) if you do get shaving rash how do you get rid of it?

I use shaving cream when I shave and afterwards I put a alcohol-based deodorant on it and hydracortison-cream. It helps for me. I also switch blades very often, they get dull fast.

i wax, but if you get a rash with shaving, u should use hair removing cream instead. you won't get a rash with it

I shave and I break out a little from it, but it usually goes away, there's a lot of different creams out there that work good i've heard.

I have really sensitive skin so I have to stay away from most of that stuff.

ooouuch doesnt it hurt putting alcohol based deoderant on ur skin after shaving?

i agree wax hurts but along my bikini line it hardly hurts at ALL seriously, the more towards the center u go the more it hurts. but as far as rash, i get a little inflamed pores right after waxing but it goes away after a couple hours

It only stings for about 2 seconds.

Katie, hydracortison cream is a cream that is used for skin irritation. It is to be found at the nearest drug-store. I'm not sure if you need a prescription for it, though...

nah i did it before. hurts like 2 sec then its all fine.

i have found that if i use shaving cream i get irritation, i can't use anything but water, then there is no irritation

Canesten is mostly used for fungus as far as I know. You could try it though, it does say it's for irritated skin. I use a cream called Betanovat.

I've managed to avoid shaving rash, but one thing that does bother me is that it grows back too quick.
