Do you curse a lot?

I think it's wise to take into consideration that people over hearing the conversation or even people you are speaking to can find offense in those kinds of words. I am pretty mellow until I know someone well enough to know what they might find offensive.

My brother and his friends would crack alot of jokes, use faggot alot etc. My other brother who at the time hadn't come out found that really hard because he read it that when he tells these people that he is gay there could be problems. It's not always directly being offended that you need to worry about but by using those words how that might affect that person. I guess it all depends on how much stock you put into that persons feelings.

Why do you care about the opinions of people you don't know? What purpose does it serve? Do these people have a meaning in your life? If not, why are their opinions important to you? Are you ever gonna see them again?

Caring about the opinions of people who have no effect on your life is a huge waste of time, so fuck em.

I have issues with caring what others think of me. But that issue is with me and a lack of confidence. Mix that with paranoia (or it could be THE cause of the paranoia) and you've got someone that has to be with someone else when they go out, even if it's just a short walk to the store, restaurant, etc.

When my friends understood this, I realized I'd return the favor to everyone else, whether I knew them or not, and just be politically correct and conscious of what I said around others so as not to hurt their feelings. Even if it feels unnecessary to be that way, I feel I owe it to others for doing it to me. At least recently I've felt this way.

The thing is that amongst people you don't know there are people that you could get to know. If you don't care and don't want to meet new people that's fine, that means that you are pretty much a closed person and people who are like that tend to curse more often.
People usually don't want to meet new people who curse a lot. It appears mean and not too happy.

To me personally when I started cursing less it came with other changes in my personality - I became more relaxed and open and I started attracting new people who started off as strangers, and in the end I became happier. I think cursing often goes with other things that are not really great for you, and that's also what repels strangers - they subconsciously avoid those traits. At least if you've already finished high school.

I wouldn't say a lot. I guess I do it a general amount. Obviously I try not to do it too much around small children. But I used to have "beep beep! MAIL MOTHERFUCKA!" from Eurotrip as the new email alert tone on my phone lol, it went off around kids a few too many times so I changed it.

I care more about people I am in a social situation with, friends and friends of friends etc. I am conscious of people around me to the point if I see they have young'ns with them etc, but if not I am not really changing for them. For me it's a very natural thing, its just my personality to be that way. I don't see it that I'm not being myself.

Regulating your behaviour depending on those around you is a normal thing to do. People are layered. I would never behave the way I do with my friends in front of a lady. Just like I won't crack paedo jokes with someone until I understand their humour. It's not that I overly care about people's opinions of me, it's just a reasonable way of behaving and co-existing with another human being. I am a reasonable person, and don't wish to cause others pain or offence.

I need to learn to do that.

Nigger rimjob.

Not everyone's humor isn't like yours. A "mature" person knows and understands this.

I didn't mean to imply that you are less immature than me.

I always appreciate a well timed racist joke but the constant "nigger this" "coon that" comments aren't funny, just petty. Maybe its just because I'm from Canada that I don't get it. But hey, if you think its funny, all the power to ya. Just mind your mouth when you get to the real world is all.

Of course I do/will.

It's a big word in the South. Nothing to brag about but I've gotten a good bit of Canadians (and Americans) to use the word in the non-racist tense where I'm at now. Like "who cooned my lighter?"

Not trying to spread hate. Just such a funny word to use. For me.

Usually I find you hilarious, but that's kind of awful.
