Saying you're stupid for believing in something != forcing our beliefs on you.
I don't believe in God.
Why?
Because "God" didn't exist prior to Judaism. There were plenty of religions before that worshipped Multiple Deities (A Deity is the correct name for a "God"), not just a "God" or any person resembling "God". Many religions quote that their Gods had physical presence on Earth.
Many civilizations didn't even have a "God" at all, they only learnt of Gods until transportation was invented to allow people to travel the vast distances of the world.
Religions teach ideals and morals and these "Gods" are used to convey these teachings.

Like I asked before, what religion do you believe in and why? Why not the other religions? Does one make more sense to you than others?

If you consider the bible the true word of God, you'd see that freewill is a concept used even for Adam and Eve. God told him, don't eat the apple, but he still had the choice to do it. In the whole fucking book it's a the main concept at hand.
Here's food for thought, why don't mother fuckers get off their ass and try to make a change. No, it's easy to sit back, criticize and be a couch soldier. If everyone gave 5$ in the world, you'd be able to feed a few nations that are starving. The possibilities to clear world hunger are there, but they're not taken. Are you aware with that kind of money you can clear credit loans for half the worlds population and even more? What does he do instead? How about people stop pointing at someone that can't answer back (if you're an athiest) or chooses not the answer back when the answer is right in front of you. Anyone can help, no one is telling you to adopt a little Rwandan, but people can help in their own way.
I'm not saying I'm any fucking better, I've been the same hypocrite, but at least I see it and slowly taking the steps to help in my own way.
Sebastian, as to your question as to why does it feel right? I've been on both sides of the road, and have had times where I've doubted my faith, and for the most part. I was miserable. For whatever reason, I'm more content in believing in God, and if it makes me happier or even a better person. I don't see the wrong in that. If there is no God, let it be, at least my naivety makes me smile.
By the way, I'm not taking a jab at anyone in specific, it's the way I see things. Obviously, not everyone will agree, but you can't doubt that the logic is there.

So, he passed the word to care about others (Jesus Christ did, not God.), why haven't people been smart enough to use that message? Some do, and it seems to work out pretty well by consequence, but then again many don't and by consequence, shit gets worse and worse.
You see, that's like me giving you winning lottery numbers, and you don't use them. When you find out you fucked up, you tell me its my fault cause I didn't force you to do it.
You want control of your own destiny, and want the will do to what you please, to change things for the better or for the worst, and you're given that freewill... but when shit hits the fan at times and something seems unfair and out of your control, it's God's fault and he should fix things up.

Lets say God appeared on earth tomorrow to show us his existence and to tell us that there is an afterlife, i reckon there would be mass suicides. People would be quick to end their lives so that they can get to the afterlife quicker.

Im not sure about what certain religions say about suicid, but i do think its some kind of sin and this wouldnt be a possible way to get to heaven quicker.

Ok, im not celebrating christs birth on christmas. Personally i think its a nice tradition and a nice time of the year to gather with your family and friends. I cant see a moral dilemma. Maybe you can enlighten me.

Christmas has gone from a religious holiday to a cultural holiday. I'm not disgusted by a nativity scene at all, I grew up with those images and they give me a nice feeling when I see a lit tree. I give out presents but I don't put up a tree.

If I put convicted child molestors in a room with children and they get raped I'm still to blame, regardless of the free will those molestors exerted, I enabled the situation. God saw how evil we were and even planned to eradicate all life because of this. That's not an answer as to why God should intervene but at that point he was going to so surely there must be a reason? God created mankind and the wickedness that came with us so to me that makes Him responsible. The people making bad choices are also to blame but they couldn't have done any of it without God's help.

Someone who received this very power from God. Different people receive different tickets as well. Still-born babies were not handed a ticket at all. The introduction of religion is more along the lines of an advertisement for the lottery rather than being handed a winning ticket. And since only 1 religion can be right it also leaves room for buying a ticket from a lottery that falsely advertises rewards.
