Listen to the song " T.I. - feat. Daz Dillinger - My Life", I think this beat is a typical Tupac beat or at least it should be a beat for a postum album. I wanna know if ya agree/disagree, or if you cant see any similarities.

daz dillinger bites a lot of beats. Like in his new album. Theres this one song that he bit off 2pac's "keep your head up" beat. I think its called Do U Think About. Sounds sick, but still. I dont know that song, but daz must of produced it and he might of bite it off a 2pac track you havent heard yet.

he's not biting anything. he's got an addiction and deep interest to Pac and his work, like many of us...

TI feat Daz - My Life, in my mind, is a tribute to Pac. they quote from Pac's song "All Eyez On Me" in the middle of the verse, the beat sounds hauntingly reminiscent of Daz's production with Pac, and at the end of the song, TI clearly says "this one's for my nigga Pac."

plus, with the remake of Keep Ya Head Up, you think everyone and their mother (literally) don't know that this sample was already used one of the most famous Tupac songs ever? plus Daz didn't "bite off 2pac's beat" because Shock G sampled an old song to make that beat in the first place! Daz simply sampled the same song, and he definitely knew everyone would remember Pac when hearing the sample. he's given Pac props and utmost respect in many interviews AND songs. I really don't see how you can label that as "biting" the late great Shakur.....

on a side note, I'd really like to get hold of the My Life beat. unfortunately there's no clean loops to make a CG instrumental, or else a dope remix would already be completed by yours truly. if anyone knows of a cd single or vinyl single of this song which contains the instrumental, please post here or send me a PM.

Yeah, Daz has shown the utmost respect for 2Pac by dissing his mother.

I know a lot of people here don't like Afeni, but to know the man personally & diss his mother is low.

well is it that much of a surprise for a guy, who used to produce for 2pac, to make a beat that sounds like something 2pac would rap on?

Maybe, Maybe not, cause we are in 2005, almost ten years after pac died, and that is not as normal to make a beat that sounds so similar to a typical pac beat, but neverless I added somethin else, its not all bout "does it sound like...", also it is bout "should a beat sound like this for a posthum..".

I think such a beat like "My life" they should use for a posthum album.
