I do not believe giving guns to everyone lowers criminal rate... and I do not believe a very strict control would lower the criminal rate either. I guess somewhere in the middle would be fine.

could you elaborate?

america has been raised with a culture of keeping guns. strict gun control would be a problem because there are those people that feel entitled to having a gun for their own protection, who wouldn't like the new policy. long term though, it's obvious that strict gun control would prohibit gun-related crimes. come on.

I think Americans need guns.

If their government decided to take away their rights those pistols and shot guns would sure fuck up the armies' tanks and bomber air planes!
