I think it happend in LA.Kurupt was with Daz and Tha Realest.Someone shot at them killing a bodyguard and injuring Tha Realest.
As far as im concerned DMX should never be compared to 2Pac.The only reason he got big was because Pac was dead.His first album is good.Second one is alright,the rest are shit.All that barking irritates me.
btw,Kurupt is a far better MC than DMX.

Im saying that DMX wouldnt have been as successful if 2Pac didnt die.People would have seen him as a 2Pac biter and if he came with that style while 2Pac was around,2Pac wouldve dissed him.
As far as DMX making good music,i would only consider Its Dark And Hell Is Hot and maybe Flesh Of My Flesh,Blood Of My Blood as being good,the rest is mediocre imo.

It's Dark And Hell Is Hot is a classic rap album and is up there with a lot of 'Pacs albums. Flesh Of My Flesh Blood Of My Blood is close to a classic as well, but there's 1 or 2 fillers on it. After that X rapidly went downhill, but he's still one of my favorite MC's.
