Multi-Platinum Ruff Ryders pioneer DMX recently announced that August 1 will kick off the Year of the Dog, Again. Scott Storch, Dame Grease and Ruff Ryder brethren Swizz Beatz handle production for the album.

The Storch produced "Lord Give Me a Sign" is at radio and also available through itunes. Year of the Dog was originally recorded for Def Jam but only a few of those songs will reportedly be on the finished product. DMX joined Sony Music Group for a three album deal at the top of the year, citing a strain between him and Def Jam president Jay-Z as reason for his departure.

He also hinted in interviews that former Arista executive LA Reid’s presence as company chairman was altering the culture of the storied Hip Hop label. Four of DMX’s five Def Jam releases went 3x platinum or more, the only one timer being 2003's Grand Champ.
