the quality of international football is nowehere near the same of that of club teams (especially if your talking premiership). so people who think the best players get picked for their country and play at the highest level and assume that the quality of the games are going to be better and a whole lot more entertaining are wrong.

I remember a certain blog about a certain India tour being postponed, and I remember a certain person who certainly wasn't amused by that fact. Basically, they're feeling what you feel. When their team wins they have a ball that night, it's an overall experience of joy and happiness that might be comparable to you getting on stage. Now that it went to shits it's another two years before the opportunity rises again with another Euro or World Cup. I'll go out on a limb and suggest that if it wouldn't make you cry, I'm pretty sure you would do something drastic if the India tour got postponed four years, eh?

Yea Ronaldo is getting old and with the injuries, theres not much left in his tank. But who knows he might recover. But its still hard to believe hes only 31, it seems like hes been around forever.

He was as good of a player in his prime as you will ever see. Some actually compare him being up there with Pele as the greatest Brazilian strikers.

Nah Rahim, there is no comparison between Kaka and Adriano. Kaka is different class and is the best player in the world imo. Adriano career has gone of the rails over the past few years. His father died and he developed a drink problem. He was shipped out to Sao Paolo on loan by Inter Milan. He is back with them now and hopefully he has put his problems behind him. Jose Mourinho will surely get the best out of him.

Ze Roberto is too old now as well. I think he is 36. He is a good player though and i thought he was Brazil's best performer at the 06 World Cup.

That is the worst analogy of all time. It doesn't even make sense.

My music is my career. It puts food on my table, it feeds my family. Yes, I'd be pissed off if a tour got postponed because that means less money that month. But there's always other shows that are just as important. So I wouldn't let the postponing of a show or tour affect my mood for more than a couple of minutes.

Whereas, some football-obsessed people I know are literally depressed for DAYS if their team loses. They cry and all sorts, despite the fact that (unless they put money on it), the outcome of this game has no direct effect on their personal situation whatsoever. And it's selfish of them to be depressed about it, because other people around them might not care, and don't want that person to be depressed.
