Dilemma!!

im in a jam, I applied to over 3 places in the past 2 weeks for a job.. and all has called back. I went in for the interview, for each one and theyve all called me back telling me that they are interested in employing me ASAP. well to sum it all up..i have the options of working as a car detailer for $12/HR..mon-fri 8am-4pm. WHICH ALSO gives me the option to work on this casino boat from 5pm-12am. so thats two jobs i am available to work. BUT the other job i applied to which is a medical records clerk pays $10/hr mon-fri 9am-5.5pm. WHICH also gives me the option to continue where im working at now.

Im in need of some advice, i weighed out the pro's and cons of each job..but im still stuck. Medical records gives me the room to "grow" and maybe move on up to a bigger position. As to car detailer which really goes no where...and plus what happens when the winter rolls around?? I cant be working there ne more. also the medical clerk is a temp to MAYBE hire kinda job...so thats also a biggy..

WHat job would you take and why?...PLESAE Ne advice would be appreciated.

I think from what you have said, the medical records clerk is the one YOU want to go for. From what you have written you have said too many negative stuff about the detailer and you have made it seem as if the medical records place is the one you truly want to go for. That's from analysing what you have written.
Now my personal view is that you should go for the medical records clerk as well. Simply because you can grow. You can work towards a promotion thus having motivation to work. If your working in a place where it has no room to grow than you will soon get bored by the monotony.

I think The_One pretty much summed it up.

You yourself indicated that you would prefer that even if you don't explicitly realize it yourself.

Plus, as he said, you can get promoted & potential promotions will give you something to work toward.

Take the bigger check, when winter rolls around sounds like you can find something new.

But it sounds like something he wouldn't particularly enjoy &, given that promotions weren't mentioned, it is implied that this is a dead end job.

but he said the other one was a temp job also?

Yeah I got that it was temp but it's all about enjoying what you're doing & getting motivation from having something to work toward, even if it isn't a definate career he wants to pursue, promotional options are still pretty important imo.

Shit if I don't like the place I am working the last thing I want is a promotion.

but if I like it of coruse.

I just think dude should get his cake on, and find something better later since it seams he has easy time of finding job.s
