I dont know if anyone out there has ever heard of this band but they are like no other. Every single song is acuostic, and is packed with emotion. The singer posses one of those really distinct voice that can not be denied, no matter what type of music u tend to lean to.
However my entire point of creating this new thread was to talk about the lead singer of the band, Travis Meeks, and his addiction to Meth. I just saw a rerun of the show Intervention on AE last night. now i had previously seen this exact episode when it originally aired but i missed the first 15 or 20 minutes and where it talk about his band and how he fired all of them. They have released three great albums, and their first one alone sold 1.5 million records, and this band was opening for Metallica around 99-2000. Travis ended up becoming a habitual user of Meth and is constantly scratching his body because of the Meth crystalizing under the skin, and causing the user massive itching, constantly.
When i found out what the lead singer of one of my favorite bands was going through, my heart dropped, and i felt sick. to know that someone with so much potential, and extremly rare talent, put to waste, man its a fucking shame.
When you listen to their songs, the listener would tend to think, that the singer is has his head on straight, although he might of been through some shit in his life, he is not a drug adict, but all of these thughts are false.
after seeing the Intervention show you realize how much manipulation Travis did to his family. In fact he was still manipulating them during the show and shit. When they got to the part where the family actually intervines, Travis flipped out and started going off saying that he did not like surprises. He later revealed that he did this cause he was high as shit.
With that being said, anyone out there see this, or is anyone out there a fan???
