I think one of the best covers ever done is The man who sold the world by Nirvana. (originally a david bowie song).
Also Cadence by Anberlin is one of the better cover songs (The Cure's - Love Song).

Here's a link to both for everyone to enjoy.

Well... Imagine was covered by A Perfect Circle. It's not a bad cover really, they add quite a nice twist. Also, Tom Petty did of a cover of the Beatles "I Need You", as part of the concert to celebrate the life of George Harrison after he had passed away.

Some may know At The Drive-In, some may not, but they did a cover of The Smiths " This Night Has Opened My Eyes", which I find pretty cool, while other At The Drive-In fans didn't really seem to appreciate.

Those are the ones that stick out to me at the moment.

Good thread One...

Imagine is indeed a great cover.
I hate the U2 covers for some reason. Whenever bono does a cover i get really annoyed. Like he covered Radioheads Creep i nearly cried it was that bad.

lol @ I nearly cried... Creep is an awesome song though...

I like the Robbie Williams cover of Oasis' Wonderwall... i have a channel [V] video of it... and the V logo was like Y2K so im assuming it was like 1999 or something... thats a pretty damn good cover....

funny that they're enemies now.
