Wassup. i got a couple viruses i found durin this scan with AVG free edition, and all but 1 couldnt be healed, deleted, moved to vault etc. Said it was 'embedded in archive' and i can't figure how to get the shit out of my whole operation.

all of em is somehwere in My Documetns i gues but i can't see em. and the common thing in all the file addresses is "STDE9.exe"

i got:
1 Worm/Muma that is a 'secure.bat' file
1 Trojan horse HideWindow that is a 'svchost32.exe' file
1 'Could be infected BAT/generic' that is a 'v32driver.bat' file
3 Trojan horse IRC/BackDoor.flood; one is 'w3svc.dll', one is 'win32.exe', and the last is 'explore.exe'

I had one other 1 listed, that was a Worm/Muma, but it wasnt a particular file it just went to My documents/STDE9.exe' I was able to send that shit to the Vault, watever that means.

can somebody help me get all this shit gone? would be appreciated
thx peace

run avg again but before you do goto control panel and preformance nd turn off system restore point then run avg.restart your comp afterward then run avg again to check if all viruses are gone.after that turn on system restore again.you might also wanna clean your cache and clear cookies and history before you run avg.hope this helps :thumb:

get kaperspy, hands down the best anti virus, and it will restart ur computer and scan the computer in dos mode and delete the viruses from there.

Running more than one anti-virus at the same time isn't a good idea.

I'm using antivir and nod32 together at the same time and it's nice as hell. nod32 always blocks the email viruses etc while antivir does the normal checks. Those two together with sygate firewall pro is and has been my choise for some time now. :thumb:
