i was very immpressed by this, all solid songs and "tilll we get there" blew me away, hardcore dead prez fans might want to avoid it though its not as "lets kill whitey, the police and re-establish communism" as dead prez albums.

First, what the fuck is yimyom? second, how are they not revolutionary in terms of politics? Maybe thier "music" isn't revolutionary, in a musical sense, but the message they carry is indeed revolutionary.

Since you write such remarks about DPZ it's obiviously that you either don't know anything about their music or either you didn't understand their message. DPZ are revolutionary and they always will be but they have different approach to revolutionary topics.

They support revolutionaries (Asatta, The Panthers, Malcolm X, etc.) and revolutionary ideals such as socialism, violence agaisnt injustice and a system that supports injustice, self-defense and training to support revolution, defense against a corrupt police department, elevation of young minds, and they support revolutionary action against an oppressive government.

All of those qualities are rather revolutionary.

dead prez make good music, period. Wheather it's political or not shouldn't be relevant. As long as one can vibe to it thats what matters first and foremost.

A good message is only secondary, I mean are we buying music these days to study songs line for line? Staring blankly at the boom box paying the closest attention? Or do we buy it to vibe, mellow, get rowdy, dance etc? I think we are getting music as a whole and hip-hop as awhole twisted with books.

Yes I appreciate great rhymes, excellent lyrics. But if the song itself and music itself is ass whats the point?

I still haven't heard RBG because I want to buy it and not download it, I shall however peep Confidential and see how it flows.

I never said the content of the music didn't matter, I said the music itself should come first then the message. I mean content is important to me, but I don't get it twisted. A good song is a good song. If Im vibing to it then im vibing to it, a good message/content is a plus.
