Concerning the DVS and BA thread

I'm posting this in Our Block because I found that when a hated member starts a thread in LTTP that pisses an admin off, he and any relatives get banned.

I think that it's stupid that my thread was closed for the same reason that Chronic's thread about Mark Deez is a hit. It was closed because it had "personal information". All that information is publicly available (which I stated in the thread) except for the e-mails that Devious himself posted in his defense even though it only helped me (and AmerikazMost) prove my point.

I've never seen an exposure that didn't contain personal information. Yeah, it's ok for Big Easy to post someone's picture that they didn't want to get out, like with Calcuo and Dante, even if those were later proved wrong, his intent was to show the board what members looked like just to get a laugh. Hasn't someone actually been exposed for the same reason that Devious and BA were? I'm sure that thread was all laughs.

Also you said threads like mine "make people quit the board". Well I actually got a lot of IMs from people giving me props for enlivening it. It's worth the sacrifice, BA barely posts here, and Devious187 most of the time only posts weird news. This isn't rotten.com. And on top of that, he still hasn't left yet, so I could argue that I actually made the board a better place by making that thread.

Personally, i wouldnt have closed your thread (mainly because of the reasons you mentioned). But hey, 7 and i rarely agree on closing threads.

I have to agree 100%.

Everything used was either already posted on the board, taken from the public myspace (which has been used on the board in the past by other members), or brought in by Devious himself.

I don't think he should be clowned for his romantic choices, but I don't think the discussion should be stopped because of the possibility of it happening.

personally i dont really care anymore whether the thread gets reopened or not. it really doesn't matter what i say or what i can prove, people are gonna believe what they are gonna believe anyway. the fact is that the only real way i could completely prove all of this wrong is by posting personal conversations with the girl in question, and i wont do that. so reopen the thread, leave it closed, it really doesn't matter to me anymore. but i guess that will be up to Syns.

I once made a thread in LTTP about the exact thing. The double standards of the modding in this forum makes it a fuckign shit hole. TinasHusband, Melli + D.Chesron, Mark Deez, Calcuo etc have all experienced this "exposure" shit and everyone got their kicks from that. The thing is, most of those exposures were done by Big Easy, so no one really gives a shit because it's 'funny' when Easy does it. We have a thread made completely humiliating the fuck out of Mark Deez but THAT REMAINS OPEN? Pittsey makes a stupid thread about "anyone who is bullying will receive a ban", yet he turns a complete blind eye to the bullying that Mark Deez received because it's supposedly funny? What the fuck is this?

The modding here is just so fucking inconsistent that it destroys the experience of the board. You either leave those types of threads open or you close all of them. How can 7Syns say "this deals with personal information" when EVERY SINGLE EXPOSURE DEALS WITH PERSONAL INFO, I MEAN IT"S A FUCKING EXPOSURE FOR CHRISTS SAKE OFCOURSE IT WILL DEAL WITH THAT KIND OF SHIT!

Yeah but look at it like this Diaz, I have saved you and your brother countless times. Ask BeReal how many time's Ive gotten on Pittsey nerves in the commission because I disagree with a thread of yours being closed. Or better yet when you 2 got banned, I demanded the sentence to be shortened.

But I really dislike people posting up other people's personal details. What people forget is, I rarely close threads and Ive stood up for members countless of times. Even having myself demodded and stripped of the powers because Ive standed up for YOU Diaz.

Now that I actually close a thread and aren't as linient as I have been in the last 2 years all of a sudden people come in here and shit on me for closing it. I can be a bastard harsh mod like BeReal and the rest of them if y'all want. And if that happens, then the freedom enjoyed will completely be thrown out the window.

All you should have a deep think to yourself because Ive gone out of my way to make sure your stay on this board is enjoyable everytime. Re-opening threads, unbanning people. Im disappointed in you Diaz, did I not PM you a few weeks ago stating what was up? How close you were to being banned?

Sure Diaz crosses the line alot, but when he was banned it was only because he was the brother of a banned member (myself).

Sometimes I have to weigh up the options, on one hand yes it's open to opinions and critism. Totally agree with you. But the thread was blatantly just taking shots of Devious, no opinions just plain mocking. On the other hand, I'm a mod and I thought the thread had played it's course and was warranted for a closure due to reason Ive disclosed already.

What ticks me off is for example Ill-matic not knowing the trouble I go through to satisfy the members on here or Diaz abusing the troubles Ive gone through especially for him. Just let this one go I say, Ive re-opened enough threads in the last year to outweigh this one I closed by 1000-fold.

I would've just thought Diaz wouldve taken into consideration what Ive done for him and let that thread go and get closed. But obviously he doesn't, that ticks me off. Makes me wanna turn from a Maximal/Autobot into a Predacon/Decepticon.

No Diaz was VERY close to being banned, the way I see it is you, mack and diaz are my baggage now. I've opted to stand up for you 3 so many times that everytime you's get outta hand I gotta step in or you will kiss the board goodbye. Some people are fed up, I can't be the Fairy Godfather forever. Especially if you's can't let me do what I have to to. I won't say anymore because I've said too much already concerning mod's business.

i think 7 did the right thing. actually i believe not only this expose, but some from the past too should have been closed due to getting out of hand. unfortunately respect is one thing that is non-existent here or almost. more thread like diaz' expose should have been closed. its one thing discuss and joke, and its another thing to bash completely on a member.
