It depends where I move...There are nice houses in bad neighborhoods...which I'm used to anyway...But the city I live in the average house is about 150,000 (and that would be one of the nicer houses). I'm looking in a better neighborhood tho...and it's quite a bit more but my ex b.f.'s mom is a realtor and she owns some property and she's helping me out.

Like this house....

It's 4 bedrooms under 150,000...and this house is a mansion compared to most houses in my city.

A house that size in Chicago, or in the surrounding burbs, is about standard size, and it'll run for about $250,000 market value, without counting the equity. And let's not even start on the property value, blah, I won't be owing a home ANY time soon, lol
