Competition football (non-EPL) 2011/2012

yea they did but it was working up to a point. Villa kept getting caught offside. after the second goal their discipline seemed to go. Its very hard to play that type of game v Barcelona. then again he doesnt have the calibre of defenders he had at Inter so perhaps defending deep wouldnt have done much good either.

Well Villa and Inzaghi are probably the only players that would ever get caught offside in their own half. So him being offside in the first instance was purely down to him running off his marker way too early which he does a hell of a lot. Mourinho should've packed the midfield and used C.Ronaldo's pace upfront.

Mourinho for the first time choked under pressure.

Guardiola was being a class act last monday. Childish prick. A lot of you hate Mourinho's guts but what Guardiola did was super-duper lame.

God, Inter are a disaster. Rafa won't have long left surely. Lazio are looking awesome though, Hernanes has been great so far, only surprising thing is when there was hype about him a few years ago no-one really went for him.

I like Jose :)

What did Peppy do?

At 2-0 up, Real got a throw-in, Guardiola had the ball in his hands, Ronaldo comes up to him and politely asks for the ball, extending his hands like "can I have it?" and Guardiola threw it away in the other direction.

Pathetic, childish and unworthy.

^^actually he did.

is this the incident you were referring to?:

all Guardiola seemed to do is throw the ball back to where the throw in was to be taken.

its pretty obvious who was in the wrong from watching that.

YEah Dukey, Guardiola threw the ball to that Madrid player who was at the spot where the ball went off.

Anyway, screw Ronaldo, I would've have thrown the ball in his face.

What big matches are you referring to? All i can think of was the champions league final in which Messi scored.

^^actually he did.

It was madrids ball, Ronaldo "asked" for the ball by reaching out his hand and Guardiola didnt give it to him, instead he threw it a couple of metres away. Well, Guardiolas fault, sorry.

^^did you even watch that match the other night or the the 6-2 in the Bernabeu last season as well as every other time Real Madrid have played Barcelona. you obviously didnt.

anyway he threw it back to where the throw in was to be taken and Ronaldo pushed him as he was doing so.

so no, not Guardiola's fault. even if he didnt give the ball to Ronaldo, its still no reason to shove him.

^^
I will give you another chance. Take a look at the first 10 seconds of the video. All the players are moving to the left side toward barcas goal because it was a freekick (i think) for madrid.

Yeah i watched the game.

ill give you another chance to watch again.

ROnaldo ran the ball out of play. he was the last player to touch it. so therefore it was a throw in to Barcelona. I think the reason it ended up being awarded a free kick to Real Madrid is because of what happened after but at the time Guardiola threw the ball back he was correct to assume that it was a throw in to Barcelona.

its also possible i guess that they were wrongly awarding Real Madrid the throw in i suppose. i cant see any foul in that run of play. either way Guardiola was throwing the ball back to the correct position and im pretty sure Ronaldo wouldnt have even taken the throw in.
