This has been quite an eventful day. And it keeps getting better, if only Spree gets traded :D :D

BTW this is a terrible trade for Sac, but who knows, maybe some chemistry issues will be worked out.

No not a bad trade at all for Sacramento.
They have enough offense, When Webber played they all stood around, Webber isnt what he used to be, not even close, Good trade for both teams, the Kings will play good, and now Webber will get a last chase for a ring with a guy who has alot of heart , iverson.
Good trade for Both teams. And some Kings werent getting along with Webber too much... Good trade.

^Like he said. Now, I just want to add-on that Corliss Williamson is a pretty solid player, he was dope in Detroit, a dope 6thman. Kenny Thomas is good inside and outside, and has solid defense to accompany him. Brian Skinner is a scrapper that can score from time to time, but mostly relied on for rebounding and defense. Basically, the Kings got 3 beasts in the trade. Stojakovic will start playing like last year for the rest of the season, and the Kings defense and rebounding should improve as the season goes on. Being that I'm a big Sactown fan, I'm pretty happy because we needed change desperately and we got it. On the other side, Webber finally has a player that shares the same passion, and has even more passion than him, Iverson. This way, whatever happens, Webber will be happy because he knows that Iverson gave it his all. Now, this doesn't make us championship contenders AT ALL, but good team still.

Chris Webber is having one of his best seasons in a long time. Stupid move by the Kings. This will definately make the Sixers the 3rd seed in the East.

Looks like Peja got C-Webb traded since they didnt get along. Now Peja will resign with the Kings. Funny thing, I dont think Peja is gonna get called for it like Kobe did. I wonder why.

How is it a stupid move? It's pretty obvious that the Kings will never get anywhere with Webber, and with each season, it would get worse and worse. Change is good. No matter what happens in the next couple of seasons, at least something has changed. With Webber, we were sitting ducks, as much as I liked him and still do. Now, with another move or two, we could change the persona of the team. From a shooting team, to maybe a more defensive-minded team. Now, you say that Peja won't get called for it like Kobe did. What do you mean? Last time I checked, Shaq begged Kupchak to trade him, while Webber wanted to stay in Sactown. Your theory is wrong. Now, you say, "I wonder why?". Well, shit, I wonder why too.

Put whatever spin on the chemistry issues that you want, that's fine. But pretending that Kenny Thomas, Corliss Williamson and Brian Skinner were equal value is absurd.

And when you take into account that KT's contract goes LONGER than Webber's, the deal is even worse. The team that traded the best player didn't even get salary cap wiggle room.

The Sixers will win their division now but they won't make the conference finals.

WOW, very interesting trade...

Good points made in the thread, especially about the kings being a sitting duck with Webber, HOWEVER, Webber has been injured the last couple of years, the college money thing, finally the lakers trade Shaq, Webber's having the best season in years, finally some light at the end of the tunnel for Sactown and they go and trade Webber.

Kenny Thomas is a awesome player though, don't sleep on him, were talking right now today until the end of the season I'd prefer Webber, but talking future I'll take Thomas. I'm drawing a total blank, but the kid who Shaq swung at (Brad something) and Thomas theyre got a good frontcourt for the upcoming years. Corlis and Skinner are washed up though.

Interesting trade though, didn't see that one coming, but then again I would of done the same, if I had to choose Peja or CWebb, I woulda choose Peja no hesitation.

I've always been a big Kenny Thomas supporter (he's a UNM Lobo grad), but he's a Queen now, can't root for him. Laker support overrides any support for a Sac Queen.

Anyway, Webber has always cracked under pressure, going back to his infamous U of Michigan days, so any help he may give to the Sixers in the regular season won't amount to shit when he blows the playoff games like he usually does.

exacttly all these people need to know webber is averaging 20 10 and almost 5 and to be traded for bunch of no-names!? fuck all that.

all that bunk bout no offense is stupid. Webber has been playing good, really good. The whole shit bout him sucking is just people sayign he shoots too much, which he does, but he still was an all-star type of player. Dumb fucking move by the kings. Espically trading Matt BArnes who is a good solid player. Fuck the kings on that. 76ers however good good move, AI and CWebb both are simlar in terms of personalities and style (both rap/hip-hop style peeps) so they should mesh well togther. Good good move by the 76ers!
