“They were in the car leaving the Clive Davis party. While Chris was driving, he got a phone call from a young lady. Our source tells us that Rihanna knew that Chris had been messing around with this particular girl and she has, as of late, been the reason for many of their heated arguments. Rihanna got a glimpse of the phone, saw the name and number and immediately recognized who it was. She went ballistic and began to “beat the sh*t” out of Chris (while driving). She was so uncontrollable, that Chris began to fight back in self defense, which ensued the fight. Rihanna’s rage stemmed from Chris’ questionable fidelity in the last few months.”

Some people may call the above story bias because it is coming from Chris’ camp, but take it for what it’s worth.

In a similar story, another source says:

Rihanna & Chris Brown broke up 2 weeks ago. Rihanna didn’t want to break up with Chris but he was done with her. Management forced him to act “lovey” for the Clive Davis party. He didn’t want to. Rihannas publicist in confidence asked him to the same. He agreed. They attended the Clive Davis party together. Management asked for Chris to drive with Rihanna in his car after the event was over for paparazzi pictures. Rihanna started acting like they were in a relationship still, not realizing that it was indeed over. Chris told her he wasn’t really with her, it was for publicity and that she needed to get it through her head that it was over. Adding insult to injury, Chris PICKED up a girl he had a date with that night WHILE Rihanna was in the car. Turns out Chris moved on with this new chick. Very childish for doing all this in front of Rihanna. Rihanna snapped, the situation got crazy. Rihanna punched Chris in the face while she was screaming, he started hitting her back. Noticing there was blood, the girl panicked and called 911.

As of right now, Rihanna’s headed to Barbados. Chris is being flown out. The other “girl” is in questioning. Both Rihanna & Chris’s team are trying to get her to side with them. If she testifies as eye witness saying Rihanna was the injured party, she could put Chris in jail for a maximum of 12 years. If the girl testifies stating Rihanna indeed made the first punch and if Chris’s attorneys can spin it in court, Chris can get off his charges all together. A lot is at stake.

Also, there’s proof lingering around. Rebel One Management is trying to stop it from leaking to the media and keep it strictly for legal affairs to try protect themselves if a case does happen. Rihanna’s team doesn’t want her to press charges as it will damage her name and career. Rihanna’s being pressured and most likely will seize to press charges. The eye witness, the other “girl”, is the most valuable piece to this puzzle..

Beef between Rihanna and Chris Brown - Priceless

There are many cheap ass sellouts that music can bring, but for everything else, there's beef.

Thankfully, new reports state that Rihanna is cooperating with police officers after reportedly being viciously beat up by her (hopefully) soon-to-be ex boyfriend Chris Brown.

A police source confirmed that Rihanna is providing "ongoing" cooperation with detectives who are busy compiling a domestic violence case against douchebag Brown.

An industry insider who knows the pair said, "Everybody's sick about it. She's so beautiful and nice. How do you hit her?"

The pair got into a heated argument very early Sunday morning in the ritzy Hancock Park neighborhood in Los Angeles. That's when a witness spotted the altercation and called police. That witness will be key to the case.

Another neighbor who lives on the same block said, "The screaming woke up my neighbors, but I slept through it. My son saw them tow away the silver Lamborghini. I hope she's okay. It's a shame."

As for the events leading up to that awful night, one friend said, "They looked lovey-dovey, laughing and hugging, whispering in each other's ears."

However, it's said many noticed Brown carefully watching Rihanna dancing with other guys at the party Saturday night. "Both of them are young and prone to jealousy," says a source.

Yea, but jealousy should never lead to violence!

R&B princess Rihanna is cooperating with Los Angeles cops, who have charged her boyfriend, singer Chris Brown, with smacking her around during a raucous argument early Sunday, according to reports.

The sultry songbird's injuries are "horrific," according to TMZ.com, which cited police sources.

Friends of the young star vowed to stand behind her. "Everybody's sick about it," said an industry insider who knows the duo. "She's so beautiful and nice. ... How do you hit her?"

Rihanna is providing "ongoing" cooperation with detectives, who are building a domestic violence case against Brown, a police source told the Los Angeles Times.

A key to the case could be a witness in Los Angeles' affluent Hancock Park neighborhood who called 911.

Brown, 19, and Rihanna, 20, started fighting inside his car, got out and continued arguing on a block of million-dollar homes.

"The screaming woke up my neighbors, but I slept through it," said Leslie Erika Klein, 62, who lives on the block. "My son saw them tow away the silver Lamborghini."

"I hope she's okay," Klein added. "It's a shame."

Authorities will decide whether to prosecute Brown, who had his first hit at age 16 and has spoken about his stepfather's history of domestic violence.

Brown was charged with felony domestic assault.

Police said Rihanna suffered bruises, while hospital sources said the "Umbrella" singer was treated for minor injuries.

Brown and Rihanna both abruptly canceled scheduled performances at the Grammys hours later.

"Rihanna is well," said a publicist for the Barbados-born singer. "Thank you for your concern and support."

Brown's image has already taken a hit - Wrigley Gum suspended an ad campaign he stars in until the case is resolved. On the surface, the dreamy couple looked happy when they appeared together at music mogul Clive Davis' pre-Grammys bash Saturday night.

"They looked lovey-dovey, laughing and hugging, whispering in each other's ears," a pal said.

But eagle-eyed observers noticed something wasn't right as Brown carefully watched Rihanna dancing with other guys. "Both of them are young and prone to jealousy," the pal said.

NY Daily News... better?

I am waiting for the official story too though.

i don't give a fuck what Rihanna did, you don't hit a woman. If this is all confirmed, Chris Brown is shit.

And I also don't give a fuck if Brown witnessed domestic violence in his home growing up. Is that supposed to absolve him in some way? If anything, I think it holds him to a higher standard. He saw the shit that happened to his mother and he should have made it his deepest conviction that he would never become the scum his father was.

I felt the same as Kanye when I heard the news. 'Ye said, "I was completely devastated by the concept of what I heard..."

Well, ideally, you'd want that to happen, like in a Disney movie. But in reality, the abused becomes the abuser.

why can't he do what other men do when their woman pisses them off, punch a wall/door/windows any lifeless objects....?

Very true. It's been studied and proved. Regardless if the abused thinks it's wrong to abuse, the abused will become the abuser because that's all the abused knows.

It's like our parents. It is very likely we turn out to be parenting the same as them because this is the parenting we know, that's all we know.

Therapy is required to fix that, change habits.

Yea, I promised myself I wasn't gonna be anything like my absent dad or my crazy mama when I was a kid, but some how, I retain some of their ways. Its a work in progress trying get rid of that mindset. Its not an overnight thing. either.

Im really against the whole "you dont hit a women, period" attitude.

What happened to equal rights?

The whole rule gives women the power to act up and jump in mens faces because they think there will be no repercussions and then when there are "oh my god he hit me!"

Men dont act like that to other men because they know if they did, chances are they would get slapped or punched for it.

If a girl was trying to harm me, hit me, or was all in my face I have no problem with slapping her or pushing her away.

I am against the whole beating on a women because the dinner was cold bullshit, that sort of domestic abuse is wrong of course. But if you are fighting, and a women crosses the line, that line is there for a reason. What do you expect? She can hit me but I cant do anything to protect myself? Im supposed to stand there and take it? Fuck that.

Oh, and Ive never hit a women, probably because all my female friends and girlfriends know if they cross that line I dont mind hitting them and so they just know how far they can push it and they dont do it. Just like my male friends know if they cross the line we will end up fighting. It is just common sense.

Domestic violence and physical abuse is wrong. Always.

Treating a women like a man if she acts like a man and tries to hit you, no problem.

As for Chris Brown, I dont know what happened. Maybe she tried to stab him? Maybe she told him she fucked his best friend, caught HIV and passed it on to him, and then when he got pissed off she started verbally abusing him and hitting him and acting all crazy.

Who knows?

Maybe he just snapped and beat on her because his dinner was cold, and in that case, fuck Chris Brown. But Id say fuck Chris Brown even if he beat up a man for that reason.

We shouldnt side with Rhianna automatically JUST because she is a women, that is sexist.

Really...is that what equal rights for women are about?

Men dont act like that to other men because they know if they did, chances are they would get slapped or punched for it.

Men do act like that all the time. It's called acting hard.

Oh, and Ive never hit a women, probably because all my female friends and girlfriends know if they cross that line I dont mind hitting them and so they just know how far they can push it and they dont do it.

Really? Is that the kind of friendship relationship you hold with your female friends?

I don't like the idea of my female friends thinking that I will punch them "if they cross the line". I believe in mutual respect. If a girl friend was contemplating "crossing the line", whatever that means, I'd rather she decide not to because of respect out of friendship, than out of fear of getting socked in her face.

I see where you're coming from and I agree, in general. I definitely agree that we shouldn't side with Rihanna because we don't know the details.

But, my point is, there's a significant line between defending yourself from a woman and beating on a woman. If a woman is trying to hurt you, you should generally be able to restrain her without inflicting damage to her face. Generally speaking, of course.
