Has anyone heard any of the demo's that have leaked over the last 2 years, of the upcoming Guns N Roses album "Chinese Democracy"?

People are saying it will come out this year. Axl said so, and I heard Slash say in an interview that from what he knew he thought it would come out this year (not that he would know, but still)

Anyway there's a few leaked demo's and live new songs circulating, and some of them are sounding absolutely incredible.

There's one track in particular called "Better", of which a 2-minute demo has leaked, and its fucking amazing. I can't stop listening to it. Also "Madagascar" sounds sick, and there's a few other great sounding songs "Catcher In The Rye", "Rhiad & The Bedouins", "I.R.S", and some more.

Fuck the haters, Axl is BACK!!!

We'll see how the album turns out be. It has been in the making for about a decade and is already the most expensive rock album ever produced; if it doesn't turn out to be a great album and a top seller Axl's post original G'n'R career is pretty much finished.

And who would those be? People like me, who can back up their opinion on why I consider Axl to be overrated?

You don't need to point out that thread to me Lost Soul, I already debated with you in there, remember? ;)

Are you a Axl hater? If the shoe fits, wear it! I'm not saying you are. I value your opinion, it's OK if you think Axl is over-rated, I don't agree but I respect everyone's opinion. (Unless someone thinks Prince is over-rated, in which case that persons opinion means jackshit to me)

That has nothing to do with this topic though, all I'm saying is that Chinese Democracy is going to be a great album. Axl is back on form, if you've read any reviews of the gigs he has been doing this year. I'm still gutted I didn't get to see em a few days ago here in Birmingham. :(

Axl wouldn't have taken so long to make this album and then have it be average. It's going to be incredible. If a 2 minute average quality, non-mixed demo of "Better" has already become one of my favorite GNR songs of all time, that says a lot. And it has.

"The Blues" is my favorite track of the new material, it's more of a pure song, less industrial than songs like "Madagascar" and "Better".

Slash is kind of wavering a little, and like I posted months ago, Izzy played w/ Axl for the first time in years, so it wouldn't be so far-fetched to see the majority of the OG band playing together in the next year or two.

/\ exactly. Izzy has been playing with GNR on their recent UK tour. He has played at least 7 or 8 gigs with them in the past few months.

Lost Soul, you asked me about Slash in the other thread, and I didn't reply before because I couldn't remember where I had read it, but here we go:

Slash remains optimistic : When he was recently asked about a possible GNR reunion, he said.. "We've had so many offers to do gigs, and none of us has done it for the money," he says. "But if the band wanted to get together and go, 'You know what? Let's just hash it out for a second and then see where that takes us,' I would go and do a show. F--k, yeah. I mean, what would it take to go into three, four, six, 12 hours of rehearsal for one, two, three, four, five shows with Guns, with guys I f--king basically lived with for God knows how long. I would do it in a heartbeat"
