BTW
there is no cali state law, its a nation wide law called the statute of limitaitons. it works like this.
if there are two confirmed attempts on ones life u can
"fake" a death for safety reasons and after a seven year period, given u didnt attempt to profit from it, you can "reemerge" without charge from state or federal law, it then becomes legal.

ill send u a link when i get one, my uncles a lawyer and he told me about that, the statute of limitations extends beyond what you posted, it basically applies to a time period of which u can be prosectued for a trial
in the case of a false death, if u can confirm and prove 2 attempts on you life, the statute of limitations exonerates you after 7 years of any formal charge so long as u dont gain money from it
there is a statute of limitations on every thing except murder, and the lenght of time on a statute of limitations in the case of a fake death is 7 years
