Dogs all the way.i own 5 cats and one dog, a golden retriever.She is so beautiful.Way more loyal a friendlier that any cats.

There is one kitten that was dying a few weaks back but i took him in and brought him to the vet.He is better now.He is a nice cat, but overall they are selfish and only care about themselves.Dogs are way nicer animals especially golden retrievers,Spaniels and labradors.

Why do people tend to like cats better here.?

A dog's behaviour is quite close to a human's behaviour so they're better suited as pets (I don't think there's a dominent-submissive relationship with a cat either) but I just think cats are more interesting and fun to watch. Because they're animals I find it easy to ignore "bad" character qualities. It's not like cats are actually selfish, that's restricted to humans.
I've been feeding these 3 feral cats for about a year now and they barely let me pet them. They associate me with food and nothing more, which I find hilarious.

My cat is actually protective of me and follows me around the hous. He's a cool mother fucker. Cats are so much more interesting, I also prefer cats since they're much more independent than dogs.

I voted dog. Between myself and my boyfriend....I have three cats and a dog.

Brisa is a siamese mix, Abby is just a DSH but she has twenty three toes...sweet, and then Jenkins is a huge Bengal and he's truly a gorgeous animal.

My Tigo is a Chihuahua.

And although the cats are cleaner as far as self maintenance...i.e. no need for baths, they go doodies in the litter box, etc...my puppy shows me unconditional love like no cat can. Not only that but cats are so damn arrogant. They'll be on my bed and get an attitude when I try to move them out of the way to lay down as if they do not have their own kitty condo to sleep/play in.

Also cats are dumb. I can tell my dog, no, stop, sit, stay and he'll do it. The damn cats will run around all day long without an idea of what a command means. Makes it that much more difficult to punish them as well as train them and cats mess up things just as much as dogs. Even more so because they're so curious and they don't understand when something is off limits.

I love my cats but I voted for dogs. I <3 puppy to death

and i'm not being prejudice, i have 2 cats and a dog.. my dog is the only one that does anything when someone she doesnt' know is around
