Whats that matter? Only the engine block is used. It's a reasonably good V6. Plus they bolted on turbochargers. It beats your Vette in 0-60 easily.

And there is nothing wrong with the absence of electronical driving nanny's. Just because you Americans are so remarkably anal about motoring (:p)doesn't mean everyone else wants electronics like a jet fighter. If you crash the car, your damn fault. You just gotta know to be careful and not give her full prod on a wet roundabout.

I for one love the approch they take. Like TVR's. Traction control consists of a long-travel accelerator :thumb:

Yeah it can beat my corvette. But it can never beat this in twisties and All out sprint Run.

The big brother of all corvettes for now is the 2006 z06 0-60(in 1st gear) in 3.7 secs and sprints to a top speed of 199 MPH just like the NEW noble and it costs in at 65000 dollars thats just about give or take 4-5k pounds higher than the noble. its got navigation(touch screen), a full loaded sports car plush interior. i consider this a ROLLING THUNDER. Motor is hand built and u dont have to worry about FI which gives maintainence and long run issues on track or daily use, its completely NA like a true american v8. oh plus the car gives 16(C)-24(H) MPG and u dont have to pay the GGT(gas guzzler tax). ahmm lets not forget the nurburgring times, the second fastest production car lap time.

The 2008 Corvette is all i am waiting for, its called Code Name: Blue Devil. Weighs in at 2750 pounds, a big 7 liter engine with a centrifugal blower which churns out 680hp/650lbs of torque. oh yeah watch it Silly top end cars here we come. Oh thats too much power to be a street car.

i am just trying to be a big a PITA.
LOL
but u gotta agree f430 or the greater ferraris getting roasted in top end runs and full out sprints and fast corners. the corvettes are becoming faster and FASTER.

the new corvette is indeed impressive.

i was looking at those prices rukas posted. a BMW M3 for $210k? wtf? a brand new one runs like $50k or so in the US.

the Carrera 4S on there is like $140k over the sticker price here....are those prices in australian dollars or am i missing something?

I'd take the ferrari over any American motor.

The new Z06 is indeed pretty fast and i have no doubt the bang for buck theory fully applies. Although abroad (that's, of course, outside the US for you) the price is still steep. But there's one thing that's lacking for it when you compare it to the excusive breeds: Class. In the end, it's still a big Chevy. It's not so nice as an Italian thoroughbred. Now some people don't really mind, like you probably, but most people are going to buy the car they like. If a corporate banker buys a new ride for his 50th birthday, hes going to pick the car he likes.

But the new Z06 looks great. I'd have mine in silver, nice and clean. :)
