Fast food places such as McDonald's or Burger King put it on some special burgers, such as the Big Mac or Whopper. But if you go into one and order a hamburger, there will be no mayo on them at all. Ketchup, mustard, pickles, and onions.

If you go to a restaurant, any restaurant, they put nothing on your burger. There may be lettuce and pickles on the side, but no condiments. Most, however, bring out ketchup with your order.

Ketchup is the condiment choice on the East Cost. I've had burgers in PA, NJ, NY, MA, CT, NH, ME, VA, and NC in my lifetime, and I have never seen mayo on them.

Mayonnaise would be better on the bun rather on the burger, for example you could have:

BUN
mayo
lettuce
onion
BURGER
ketchup
BUN


But in making a cheese burger, the cheese goes on the burger not on the bun. That's what I was taught in catering college.

lmao.do you think they're worried about clogging your arteries? they all use oil with transfats to fry their foods. i think the reason they dont use it is because it costs them money.if you want mayo on it,they charge you for it.
