C-Murder back under house arrest

#1
After less than six weeks of exemption from house arrest, Corey ‘C-Murder’ Miller is confined to his home once again.

As previously reported in detail, Miller was placed under house arrest as a condition of bail after his second-degree murder conviction for the killing of 16-year-old Steve Miller was overturned due to mistrial - he was to remain under house arrest until a retrial had been conducted.

A hearing was setup as to whether he breached the conditions of house arrest, and evidence indicated Miller had indeed left his area of confinement. Judge Sassone ruled that although Miller did this, he did so only for incredibly short amounts of time - but then also released him from house arrest.

The prosecution lodged an appeal against the ruling with the Circuit Court of Appeals. The outcome found that Sassone's decision was an "unsolicited ruling". She was directed her to re-impose the house arrest programme on Miller.

The written order from Sassone said that “Corey Miller is to be placed on complete home incarceration and is further ordered that he is not allowed to leave his residence at any time."

Miller will be remain under house arrest until the retrial of the murder case, for which a date has not yet been set.

When first released from house arrest Judge Sassone allowed relevant documents to enter the public domain, but now another gag order is in effect.
