Appearing at the announcement of the 2006 BET Award nominees on Tuesday, Busta Rhymes told reporters that his new album, The Big Bang, will feature a snippet from BET’s 2004 telecast. But he remained tight-lipped on any further details.
"You'll just have to listen to the record when it comes out," he said.
Due June 13 via Aftermath/Interscope, the album features appearances by Stevie Wonder, the Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am and Kelis, as well as late funk legend Rick James.
Busta’s soundbyte from the 2004 telecast might possibly come from James, who made one of his final public appearances during the ceremony that year, and shouted the line made famous by Dave Chappelle: "I’m Rick James, bitch!"
