Nobody is saying he was a great leader, and yes he killed innocent people by the hundreds of thousands over the years, but not on the level that people are dying there now.

Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have not died in this war, so I'm not exactly sure what imaginary level you're talking about.

This war is for oil. There are a ton of leaders worse than Sadaam all around the world. So yes the White House Texan has brain-washed you, and the media feeds into it because it makes money from war. Think about it. Saying that the media is liberal because it carries bad news only, that's real bullshit. Of course they will carry voilence! They hyped up this war for the longest time, itching to get journalists into the Mid-East. But notice, they only cover REPORTS of the violence. They don't actually cover the violence, because if they did, you'd see this:

And if you saw that, we'd be out a lot faster, because that is real sadness, not just a statistic.

i have familly in Iraq, and they all agree that the situation under Saddam sucked, but was a lot better than now.

All that suggests is that it is a subjective situation, as a friend told me, his family is much happier without Saddam and are more hopeful for the future now. Some will be pleased as a result of the war, some not.

Do you not follow the news? There have been days where up to 200 deaths from car bombings and other terror attacks have been reported, where civilians have been killed in those bombings. There may not be thousands yet, but it's on pace to be way more than that
