Britney Spears' official Twitter account hacked - Yahoo! News

An anonymous hacker has reportedly hacked into Britney Spears' official Twitter account, leaving an obscene message.
Earlier today (January 5), a posting on the pop star's Twitter page read, “HI Yall! Brit Brit here, just wanted to update you all on the size of my vagina. Its about 4 feet wide with razor sharp teeth.”
The posting on the popular social networking site has since been taken down. Although Spears' staff usually updates her account, the culprit is thought to be an unknown hacker who also hacked into Barack Obama's Twitter page and television presenter Bill O’Reilly.

I follow Britney on Twitter so this update popped up on my phone as soon as it was done, I sent an email to her tech team seconds after it happened, talk about being slow to respond, the message ended up being there for 6 hours or so.

Far from it. Actuall, I'm very interested in the higher profile people that use Twitter, being as I've been on there a lot longer than most. The popularity of it as of late is due to people like Britney using it.

I still don't see the point in Twitter. It's burgeoning, but still, it's so gay. I hate it when people tell everyone what they're doing through Facebook statuses. If that's irritating, I can't imagine a whole site dedicated to that shit.

Actually yes, as a pop songwriter it's something I keep an eye on. I actually know the guy who wrote "Gimme More". I wasn't too impressed with the new album after a while, it didn't have the longevity of the last one.

As for why I'm interested in high-profile Twitterers, it's because for a long time there weren't many on Twitter, outside of tech nerds, but even then I predicted that the rise of Twitter would lead to the decline of Facebook, and that's exactly what's happening now. The more Britney's that start using it, the more clear my prediction comes.
