After many fans calling for a feature length movie, word is that Boondocks' creator Aaron McGruder is poised to spin his animated series into a motion picture.

According to reports, McGruder revealed the plans last weekend at The New York Times' Fifth Annual Arts & Leisure Weekend.

Aaron McGruder is both older than his 27 years (pissed off, cynical and focused) and a big kid (he snacks on dry cereal, possesses a drawing style influenced by Japanese anime and is devoted to all things Star Wars).

He has captured the hearts and heads of US audiences, and because of the wonder of the internet has got fans around the world. However with the success comes trouble. Since Boondocks' premiered on The Cartoon Network late last year, critics have bashed the series for its excessive use of 'The N Word." McGruder said he's heard way fouler language on black radio stations. His regular comic strip was also removed from several publications after 9/11 because of its dissenting politics.

We will update you with more details on the movie as they're released.
