crime and punishment - fyodor dostoevsky

great book!

Crime and Punishment is awesome, but it's lengthy. Check out "Notes From the Underground" by Dostoevsky. It's like a novella, and touches on some of the same things as Crime and Punishment. It's also basically the first piece of literature in which a full out Realist character is represented.

The cover of the book I have states:

The Autobiography of Malcolm X
with the assistance of Alex Haley

Its been a while since I've read it but I'm sure I remember they were having meetings to talk about his life that would then be put in the book, he (x) would dictate what he wanted written. From memory the end of the book gets wrapped up by Haley because Malcolm was killed. Someone correct this if I'm way off base.
