Reggae icon Bob Marley's home in Kingston, Jamaica, will be declared a national monument 25 years after his death.
Marley would have turned 61 Monday. He died in 1981 of cancer.

Jamaican officials said the building will be dedicated in honor of Marley's work to promote his homeland worldwide but no date for the ceremony was announced, the BBC said.
The singer known for inspirational songs such as "Get Up Stand Up" and "One Love" received Jamaica's Order of Merit a month before he died in Miami at age 36, but the government has stopped short of naming him a national hero.
