Blue Note Records has all the hip hop samples

Well if not all of them definitely some of the greatest hip hop hits came from artist on the legendary Blue Note Records

who knew that 2 Pac's song "Definition of a Thug Nigger" was sampled from Donald Byrd's orginal song "Wind Parade" or that Main Source's song was sampled from Donald Byrd's song "Think Twice" ..

Blue Note is putting out an album "Dropping Science on 2/12 with the original songs for all these hip hop hits.. this should really be enjoyable and as well for quite a few you learn a little something about the history of hip hop music.. check out the audio goodness below..

"Think Twice" sampled by J Dilla, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul and Main Source.
