Bloody Mary

Anyone heard of this myth?

Some people say that if you stand in front of a mirror, all lights off - in complete darkness, and you say "Bloody Mary" 13 times in a row, some sort of evil spirit will come out of the mirror, scratch your face to death, make you insane with fear or suck you back into the mirror.

I'm gonna try it tonight, and prove this myth wrong :thumb:.... Or maybe i shouldnt?

So how can saying "Bloody Mary" frighten you? I am aware that there are religious connotations also & that Argentina, like most S.American countries, take their religion seriously but still.......a gun or some words & you are more frightened by the latter

lol, I know! But it's very simple: if I were afraid of guns I wouldn't go out of my house anymore, so I prefer to be afraid of some words. And I have no idea what the religious connotations are, I know almost nothing about religion! The "Bloody Mary" thing makes me afraid cuz I'm a coward, that's all. For example, I don't watch horror movies cuz they are too scary for me

i've done that with so many different variations

One was you must say it on a full moon
one was you must say it on a friday the 13th
one was you have to have a candle lit under the mirror
