I wasn't mad. Just when it comes to talking about one's children I feel it's a step too far.
All forms of religion have been shit on here, albeit, Islam has gotten the larger flack of it as of late, but as I've said previously, Christians - Catholics in specific has gotten quite its number of threads here as well. Personally, as I've said before numerous times it's sad the amount of threads we have dedicated to religion bashing when other things could be talked about, but it's quite impossible to keep everything closed, especially since the community here isn't as large as it once was. I am on the verge of closing this thread cause it generally starts this way and then it will get really out of hand... but being the optimist I generally am - I hope to see some intelligent discussion. I'm just asking when it comes to blood relatives, keep the insults away from them. This goes for everyone, in hopes to keep this open just a bit longer.
Your comment about him having a Muslim baby wasn't meant to be heart-felt. You said it as a way to get back at him for his comment (even though I assume he's speaking about fanatics), and I'm sure you know that also. You're using words like knocked-up (generally meant as a 1 night fuck), die more and more in his eyes, etc. You're making it far from the lovy-dovey aspect of having a child out because 2 people love each other. Which is why I flagged it.
Now if you were actually kinder with the words, and actually hoped the best for his daughter (that's if he had one). I wouldn't have said anything.
I'm sure emotions are flaring on both sides, and things are being said... it happens. I'm asking to think before you type - or else things will get closed and bans will be thrown around. Old members, new members, I don't really care - all are eligible.
