Non-Urban Music Bigger Sellout

Nelly Furtado, Michelle Branch, Jewel, nobody's above peddling their ass to get more exposure, it seems. I don't like any of these three, but I personally find it funny that all three of these started as folk-rock, or music from the outskirts of pop, and now Jewel music & image is PURE pop, Michelle Branch got nearly naked for Maxim, and Nelly ran and got Timbo to reinvent herself after her last album flopped.

Like I said, I don't care for any of their music, then or now, but it just goes to show, anybody will do anything to get that money, get that exposure again.

I'm expecting Alicia Keys to do a Playboy spread and Norah Jones to release a sex tape now, mark my words

lol - Alicia and Norah have had enough success to not sell out. As for Jewel, I'm not overly familiar with her music but I know her story... I like Nelly Furtado, she's just having some fun....and I haven't seen Michelle Branch's maxim shoot yet (hint hint if anyone has it)

Jewel was a bit of a shock and Nelly was just a disapointment.. It's funny listening to the songs that got them known and the songs they sold out to.. Makes you wonder why.
