Big E Ft. Crittaz - Day By Day

I wish I knew you were posting this. I don't know if that's the same verse you sent me, but it sounds decent on there. I intended on adding a third verse, but it's all good.

If people are going to comment on this song, I'd like to point out a few things. If you're going to complain about the quality of my vocals, I unknowingly recorded in 96kbps and planned to re-record before the release. The instrumental is not mine. I have leasing rights to the beat, though. And if I could remember the guy's name who made it, I'd love to refer you to him. I leased this beat awhile back because at the time I was working on my own version of this (the song is called Ive Been Trying, by Phil Collins). I thought for sure no one would think to sample this song bc it's not well-known. The song sucks, but those lyrics are effective. So I did an mp3.com search to check and turns out someone did the same thing I was in the process of doing (any producer knows this is fucking annoying). Regardless, I found his beat awesome. I had to get it.

So back to now...I finished my version of the beat and intended to switch it up after the second verse and alter the chorus because the other words in the original song are the exact opposite, so it would have been cool. Anyway, I'll still be doing this. Internet releases aren't really my thing anymore. I thrive off the buzz you get when you circulate music through peers and the street as opposed to online where everyone over-analyzes underground music. But I will drop the final version soon.

I chose Crittaz to be featured on this song because I know his style. I know what kind of beat he looks for and he sounds good when he finds it. I brought it to him and he did what I imagined he'd do.

Peace.

dope beat

your quality sounds dope E, its not hard on the ear or anything at all. flow is fucking solid man, love how you end the verse, not nessecarily the line but the delievery, with the beat,

crittaz you sound dope on the beat as well, both you guys, i like your chemistry together track wise, your flowing nicely too man, simple rhyming but effective.

i never really understood how these types of chorus got so big, kind of old school classic kanye type almost chipmunk sounding type ish, but its working here.

im seriously liking this, wish is was longer.

Beat is pretty nice. E's verse starts off shaky...ad-libs are 2 high, all thru the verse they jumble up the verse. Flow was pretty solid...a bit sloppy though (bad sloppy, not good). Lyrics were pretty nice though besides the a/b/a/b/ structure.. Crittaz adds life 2 the track w/ a more lively delivery. Flow is pretty solid as well, with a few slips/choppy points. Lyrics were basic though, structure was good but they themself were a bit basic rhyming. Ya quality was a bit poor 2, not that bad though - just a bit of static. Overall track is pretty nice...not a big fan of those damn hi-pitched samples though.

Peace.

I don't really feel the beat. but I like the hook part with the samples.
E's verse sounds alright but the ad-libs are to high like Limn said.
Crittaz verse is nice too. it takes the track to another level.

In whole I think it's not bad. It could be mixed better.
Keep dropping.

Proffessional sounding, good beat and good hook. Both of you have decent lyrics and good flow :thumb:

One of E's better flows. Crittaz has flowed better but still solid. Both a bit sloppy though like Limn said. Lyrics were cool. Nice to see you telling her off Crittaz ;)
Okay drop
