BET.com has joined forces with Jermaine Dupri's SoSoDef label to give one lucky lyrical hopeful and his/her crew a chance to travel to the 2nd Annual BET Hip-Hop Awards in style.
The BET Hip-Hop Awards Hot 16 Challenge gives users the chance to upload video dropping their hottest 16 bars detailing why they should be able to attend this year's Hip-Hop Awards in VIP-style.
Those who think they can spit the winning 16 can log onto BET.com and download an original instrumental track supplied by SoSoDef to use as the backdrop for their verse. Next, they can upload their video performing the finished track and a top five will be selected from user votes. Dupri will handpick the best rap from the top five.
The grand prize includes a VIP three-day/two-night trip to Atlanta for four, one hotel suite, limo transportation, entry to the SoSoDef/BET Digital Pre-Party, red carpet access and four VIP tickets to the actual show, which takes place Oct. 13 at Atlanta's Civic Center.
The BET Hip-Hop Awards 2007 will premiere Oct. 17 at 9 p.m. (ET/PT) and feature guest appearances by Kanye West, Common, Nelly and Lil' Wayne.
To enter the competition or to cast your vote for the Hot 16 Challenge, log on to www.bet.com/hot16. The contest ends Sept. 21. The winner will be announced Sept. 28.
