Comedy Legend.

Yeah, that's messed up. He's here in Chicago, and he was supposedly in really serious condition a couple of days ago. Wasn't expecting this.

Yeah he Died from complications of Pneumonia, i remember he had lung problems for quite a while the main reason they had to stop taping his show, then eventually Fox cancelling the show due to Bernie and his health.

im bout to watch Bad Santa and the OG kings of comedy later and pay tribute.

RIP Bernie we all will miss you. :sad2:

Damn that fuckin sucks! When i first heard he was in the hospital in serious condition i thought to myself "ah fuck i hope he doesn't pass." God dammit this is fucked up news. RIP Bern

I can't believe it. I was just watching a movie with him and then I came here to read this. What a coincidence. Anyway that sucks so much. He was funny.

I must be the only one who doesn't care too much. Then again, last night 1200 Georgians died.

I guess what they say is true. Anything over 1000 is too much for the brain to understand, but take 1, 5 or 20.... it's a tragedy.

Anyways, RIP Bernie

No, take 1 celebrity, or 1200, that ppl know and like, and it's a tragedy. Take 1200 anonymous Georgians, or just 1, and it's just numbers.

Just like your immediate family is more important to you than celebrities you like, celebrities are more important than anonymous ppl. So it's not numbers that make the difference but the significance the person has to someone.

Not only the significance matters. Been working on this in my forensic Psych class.

It's been proven in many cases, and it's a theory used in Psychological studies. When you hear them say, 1 in 4 women are sexually abused in a lifetime, it's done with a reason that it has more impact than saying, there have been 250 000 abused women in a span of... bla bla bla.

When Bosnia was being butchered, and no troops were being sent. There was 1 specific case of a child being brought to London that made a difference. The few 1000s that were dying didn't change much, but once that 1 child was talked about. It was English soldiers being rushed into there.

There isn't the same emotional impact when you say 100 000 dead, than 1.

One death is a tragedy. A million deaths is a statistic.

I never found dude funny, I found him obnoxious but it's sad that he was in poor health. RIP.
